East of the old centre, the Plantage is a green quarter of the zoo, the botanic garden and the Jewish Cultural Quarter, running down to the docks of the Maritime Museum and NEMO and on into Oost.
Sights
ARTIS, the Hortus Botanicus, the Jewish Cultural Quarter, the Verzetsmuseum, Het Scheepvaartmuseum and NEMO.
Music and theatre
The Nationale Opera & Ballet and Carré on the Amstel.
Give it a full day: the zoo, the Hortus and a museum.
Eating
Restaurant De Kas (One MICHELIN Star) in the Frankendael park, and the Bib Gourmands Scheepskameel and Rijsel.
Our advice: climb NEMO’s roof terrace for the view over the docks.
