Buying tickets for concerts, opera and museums in Amsterdam

Amsterdam’s concert halls, theatres and museums sell tickets through their own websites and box offices. For the busiest museums, book before you travel.

Updated October 2026

Book direct

The safest way to buy is through the venue’s own website or box office. Resale sites may charge far more.

The museums

The Rijksmuseum asks every visitor, including Museumkaart holders, to book a start time; tickets are also sold at the entrance, subject to availability. The Anne Frank House can only be visited with a ticket bought online for a time slot.

Questions and answers
